The 2026 Grief Symposium: Caring for Children & Adolescents, presented by Emanuel's in partnership with the Resilient Foundation, formerly the Christian Counseling Center, and hosted at Seguin ISD’s Boardroom had nearly 50 attendees on January 8. Even in the dark days of winter (Is it really winter?) this dependable crew keeps us looking bright. From the freshly painted sign at the corner of Mountain and Travis to lamps in the parking lot our volunteers keep rolling along with projects. Because Lutherans gape in awe. Confirmation class in December discussed “covenants and promises,” and featured a ‘promised’ trip up to the balcony to hear our incredible organist, Ed Workmon, prepare for Christmas Eve services. They toured, learned, climbed inside of, and stood in awe of this magnificent instrument and its maestro.
