Lutherans in their happy place: Such fun to celebrate Manny's First Birthday on Sunday! Everyone agrees that he is simply the cutest painted critter in town. The Styblo's were eager to share their squirrel pics, as were several other festive folk on Facebook. Shout out to Janice E. for the adorable hat and Abigail Z. for the clever card. Lutherans in their happy place: Pastor Marcus (pictured here wielding a sledge hammer in waist deep water) said, "Grateful to be out at Chrysalis (last) week with volunteers, church members, and fellow summer staff from my summers on staff rebuilding docks and picnic tables. Doubly blessed to do this work alongside my awesome wife, Kristen!!" Proof that happy places aren't just picnics in the park. After the recent storms damaged some favorite spots at Lutheran Camp Chrysalis

Lutherans in their happy place: Gathering around the table, catching up with family and friends (or making new friends!), critiquing the Pastor's sermon (Was it too good?), heated debates about beans or no beans, indulging in one more cup of coffee - a meal after worship is a practiced place, a happy place, a necessary place. Read below to find out who took home the coveted Golden Ladle and the Iron Skillet. Stay tuned for more opportunities to linger at the table in August.

Lutherans in their happy place: Heading out on an adventure with a bus full of Lutheran and Lutheran-adjacent friends is a happy place in its own right. The Senior Social Club's summer sojourn last week was sweeter than most of The Wandering Lutheran's excursions, and just as fun. Come meet these fine folk at their next potluck in the Fellowship Hall on Thursda

Lutherans in their happy place: What a day! Bluegrass Sunday with the Hot Pickin 57s was absolutely amazing! We toe tapped, clapped, and sang with such immense joy, excitement, and praise that the sanctuary is still humming with those final verses and chords! A huge thank you to volunteers across our ministries for making the day happen

Lutheran's in their happy place: Welcome Summertime! The abundant spring rains have left the corner of Travis and Mountain Streets positively verdant. Because Lutherans love group photos. The Confirmation Class of 1926 was pretty masterful at group photos 100 years ago! Behind each confirmand pictured is a supportive family, dedicated sponsors, and a faithful community supporting the young disciples' public affirmation of faith, strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit. On Sunday, May 17th you can help us celebrate Emanuel's confirmand of 2026 by rejoicing with him in the life of baptism, giving thanks and praise to God

Because Lutherans are part of the choir. On Easter morning glorious music carried us from a lowly manger to an empty tomb to a triumphant Alleluia! Special to thanks to all of our musicians for sharing their great art. As Pastor Marcus concluded in his captivating, hymn-filled sermon, "the music of God's love plays on. And we, by grace, are part of the choir." Christ is risen. He is risen indeed.

Holy Week invites each one of us to journey with Jesus through the gates of Jerusalem, to eat with him and hear his commandment to love one another, to stay and watch with him in the garden, to accompany him on the way to Calvary, to be present at his death, and to dance for joy at his resurrection. Let this Holy Week be an invitation to set your countenance on Jerusalem and, like Jesus, to journey to the Passover feast. In community, let
