Because Lutherans learn in unusual ways. Children's Church is always full of surprises on Sunday mornings. Paul Sims had the kids up to their elbows in homemade slime last week - for good reason. The lesson from 1 Samuel was about God using ordinary people for extraordinary outcomes. Kudos for everyone sharing nicely and our acolyte for keeping robes clean! We are better together.

Because Lutherans are part of the choir. On Easter morning glorious music carried us from a lowly manger to an empty tomb to a triumphant Alleluia! Special to thanks to all of our musicians for sharing their great art. As Pastor Marcus concluded in his captivating, hymn-filled sermon, "the music of God's love plays on. Holy Week invites each one of us to journey with Jesus through the gates of Jerusalem, to eat with him and hear his commandment to love one another, to stay and watch with him in the garden, to accompany him on the way to Calvary, to be present at his death, and to dance for joy at his resurrection.
