Because Lutherans love meeting people where they are. On Ash Wednesday we offered ashes on the street as a reminder that need, humility, and healing are not confined to a church building. Clergy from Friedens Church and Spirit of Joy joined us, as well as Compass Cooperative Director Hannah Hansen. There is much more to the beginning of Lent than ashes alone, and we encourage you to make time for worship, for the support of others, and the great traditions of our faith in the work of repentance and renewal.
