Because Lutherans understand important work (pt.5). “God's work. Our hands.” Sunday was full of good deeds, big hearts, warm smiles, and loads of labor. The Quick Quilters extend a big thank you to all who came out to GWOH. We were able to finish the last 36 of 125 school kits, 113 personal care kits and tied about 20 quilts. More than 65 care cards were written to first responders, teachers, military personnel, and friends afar who need a kind word. Security installation at the Day School and Church began as the team, led by Paul Sims, pulled what felt like miles of internet line through ceilings and attic spaces to create connection points for cameras, door entry pads, and communication points for offices. Camera installation began just after Lunch Bunch and the installation of the church entry systems will be done on an upcoming weekend. Let’s not forget The Garden of Eat’n crew who always look like they are just playing in the dirt but in fact are preparing fall beds for veggies that feed area families. It was a great day to share God’s love through acts of service to our neighbors near and far! We are better together.
