Because Lutherans love their neighbor: "How are you doing right now?" It's a pretty simple question, but also a powerful one. One of the cool things about regular check-ins with family, friends, and neighbors is that it allows us to see that we all experience the same things: joy, frustration, overwhelm, excitement, sadness, anticipation, loss, reemergence. Pick up the phone. Wave across the fence. Let someone know you care. We are in this together. We are better together. We may be apart, but we are not alone.
