Accompanists are not only braced for musical challenges, they are also incredible listeners - ready and expectant. They take care to get every note right, paying attention to the smallest detail because they know that caring makes all the difference. Accompanists rarely are in it for the accolades. They play because they are needed. And we love them for this.
